ABBEY St. BATHANS is a traditional farming village in a wooded valley about one hour’s drive South East of Edinburgh. Bronze age tools unearthed there indicate the possibility that the area has been in continuous habitation for 4000 years. The locality also contains remains of Edins Hall Broch, about 2000 years old, the foundations of a first millennium Celtic era Christian church and a holy well. |
